Pressure Washing
in Stony Brook, NY
How We Clean Stony Brook Homes
Moisture rolls in off Stony Brook Harbor and the Sound and gets trapped under the heavy tree cover on the wooded lots here, and that combination feeds algae and black staining onto north-facing siding, brick walls, and stone walkways. It builds up fastest on the shaded faces of the house, where the surface never really dries out. Left alone, it turns a clean home dingy a lot faster than most people expect.
The housing runs two ways in this area, and we handle both, often on the same block. Painted-wood and cedar colonials near the village center and along the Old Field Road and Head of the Harbor edge need a gentle soft-wash touch. Vinyl colonials through the university-area streets off Nicolls Road take a standard wash. Because blacktop drives dominate here, most of the demand is siding, brick and stone hardscape, and patios, which is exactly the work we do all day.
We clean the whole property and stand behind every job. Call for a free quote on your Stony Brook home at (631) 387-2156.
Pressure Washing for Stony Brook Homes and Businesses
We’re a true full-service exterior company, not just a pressure washer. Most of our Stony Brook work is residential, with a steady commercial side. We can handle commercial properties such as offices, medical campuses, and multi-building communities. The crew holds the same standards on both; the scheduling is what changes.
Residential Pressure Washing
Stony Brook siding runs the full range: painted-wood and cedar near the village and the harbor edge, vinyl through the university-area streets, with brick and stone on the larger wooded lots. We match the method to the surface, soft washing anything delicate so we never damage the finish.
- House washing: soft wash on vinyl, James Hardie / fiber-cement, cedar, and metal siding, using a proprietary blend of environmentally friendly algaecides.
- Roof cleaning: low-pressure foam process to remove black staining, moss, and lichen from asphalt shingle, slate, and cedar shake. If a roof is in very poor condition, more than about 5% of shingles missing, or a structure that no longer looks sound, we won’t clean it. We’ll tell you straight rather than risk further damage.
- Gutter cleaning: we clear the gutters and flush the downspouts, with an optional roof sweep.
- Gutter guard installation: high-quality aluminum guards, with the guard type matched to your tree coverage.
- Gutter repair: gutters, leaders, and downspouts, from a small section to a full new install.
- Window cleaning: we’re an exterior window cleaning company. We clean the outside glass and screens using a purified water-fed pole system. We don’t clean interior windows at this time.
- Solar panel cleaning: a deionized water-fed pole with a boar’s-hair brush, including debris and nests cleared from under the panels.
- Concrete cleaning: patios, walkways, and flatwork, with mold, oil, efflorescence, and rust lifted using the right pressure and chemistry.
- Deck cleaning and restoration: cleaning, brightening, board and railing repairs, sanding, and staining, matched to composite, cedar, pressure-treated, or hardwood.
- Deck and fence staining: semi-transparent, semi-solid, or solid finishes as part of restoration.
- Fence cleaning: soft wash on aluminum estate, stockade, and PVC, including colored PVC.
- Cedar restoration: brightening bare, stained, or painted cedar without damaging the wood, with optional staining to finish.
- Rust removal: we inspect every rust stain before we start and tell you honestly what we can get out. If we can’t remove it, you don’t pay for the rust removal.
- Trim repair: rotted or damaged window trim and missing or damaged cedar shingles.
- Dryer vent cleaning: done entirely from outside, so we never enter the home; recommended once a year.
- Paver restoration: our flagship three-step process: clean, re-sand with Alliance Gator polymeric sand, and seal. A high-gloss wet-look finish can get slippery when wet, so we tend to steer homeowners toward a color-enhancing satin finish. It’s our most popular recommendation.
- Paver cleaning, polymeric resanding, and paver sealing: available as standalone steps or bundled as the full restoration, on bluestone, travertine, Cambridge, Nicolock, brick, and old red clay.
- Concrete sealing: the same sealing process and chemistry as our paver sealing.
The common local rhythm is a spring soft-wash on the shaded faces of the house after pollen season and a fall hardscape pass, with windows and solar cleaned a couple of times a year. Those shaded elevations are usually the priority, since they hold moisture and green up first.
Commercial Pressure Washing
- Building washing for structures such as offices, medical campuses, and warehouses, cleaned around your business hours across any cladding.
- Awning cleaning at low pressure to protect printed lettering and signage, often bundled with building washing.
- Graffiti removal from any surface, with rapid-response service available. Results depend on the surface and the type of graffiti. We assess every job first and tell you what to expect before we begin.
- Apartment complexes: whole-community scopes covering roofs, siding, gutters, concrete, fencing, and common areas, scoped and scheduled with the property manager.
- HOAs / homeowner associations: handled the same way as our apartment-complex work, coordinated with the board or property manager.
- Concrete cleaning for commercial patios, walkways, and flatwork.
We schedule around your slow days so we don’t disrupt business, set up coning and signage, keep someone on site to prevent accidental overspray, and provide before/after photos for sign-off. Apartment and HOA work is coordinated directly with property management, and residents get a prep handout before we start.
Why Stony Brook Homeowners Choose Us
A few things come up again and again in why our customers call us back and send us down the street to their neighbors.
over two decades of Experience
We’ve cleaned and restored properties across Stony Brook and Long Island since 2006, over two decades of exterior cleaning experience, so if it’s an odd one-off situation, we’ve probably seen it before and we know how to handle it. That depth shows up on the tricky jobs, the ones a newer crew has never run into.
Full-Service, Not Just Cleaning
We’re a true full-service exterior company for Stony Brook. Beyond cleaning, we handle deck and cedar restoration, paver restoration, gutter guards, and gutter and trim repair. Most companies only clean; we take care of the whole property, so the wash and the repairs run through one team you already trust.
Licensed, Insured, and Documented on Every Job
We’re fully licensed and insured, and we photograph every job start to finish, before, after, and anything that needs attention, so you always know exactly what we did. Nothing gets glossed over, and you have a clear record of the work when the crew leaves.
Safe for Plants, Pets, and Family
We use professional-grade equipment and a proprietary blend of environmentally friendly algaecides, with a soft-wash approach on delicate surfaces. We take standard precautions throughout the cleaning process to help protect your plants, pets, family, and surrounding property. Delicate landscaping and finishes are protected before the water ever turns on.
How Our Stony Brook Pressure Washing Works
From the first call to the final walkthrough, here’s how a job runs.
First Call and Preliminary Scope
An office manager answers the phone, takes your details and the services you’re interested in, and gets back to you fast. Our standard response time is a half hour or less. Phone-answered hours are 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM weekdays, and weekends 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
We Measure and Guide You to the Right Services
We help you land on the services your property actually needs and measure everything out so the quote is exact, not a guess.
An Exact Written Quote Within 24 Hours
You get an exact written quote in your hands within 24 hours of the first inquiry.
Booking and Reminders
Once you book, we schedule through Jobber and send a reminder sequence as the date approaches: roughly two days out, the day before, the day of, and an “on the way” notice on service day.
Service Day
The crew photographs the property and any existing damage first, then protects delicate items and tapes off outlets. From there we do the work with our professional-grade soft-wash and low-pressure foam equipment, and we walk the finished job with you if you’re home. On many Stony Brook homes we start with the shaded, north-facing cedar and painted-wood that holds the most algae, then move to the brick and stone hardscape.
After Photos and Follow-Up
We send after photos, then follow up with a review request. If anything isn’t right, a team member inspects within a half hour of your call and, if it’s valid, we re-clean or refix.

Roof cleaning and polymeric resanding are quoted per property once we see the surface, and paver restoration, concrete sealing, and deck and fence staining are priced with the service they’re part of. We’ll give you an exact number for those on the written quote.
A couple of ways to bring the total down:
- Bundle more than one service, for example adding gutter or roof cleaning to a house wash, and you’ll earn a discounted price.
- Recurring service, such as recurring window cleaning or scheduled maintenance, is billed at a discounted rate.
- The savings come straight from bundling and recurring work, so you get the better rate without waiting on a seasonal promotion.
Recurring Service Plans
We keep properties on a recurring cadence so they always look their best. Recurring window cleaning comes in discounted packages, solar panels are cleaned twice a year (after pollen season and once the leaves are down), and decks are maintained on a one-to-two-year cycle depending on tree coverage. We handle the timing so you don’t have to track it, and the work stays ahead of the staining instead of chasing it.
Our Stony Brook Pressure Washing Guarantees
We stand behind the work, and several of our services carry their own written promises.
- 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you’re not happy with the result, we’ll come back out, take a look, and make it right. We respond within a half hour of your call.

- New gutter installations are backed by a five-year warranty.

- Our paver and sealing work is done to manufacturer specification and backed accordingly.
What Stony Brook Customers Say
I contacted Squeaky Clean and requested an estimate and the owner, Matt, quickly responded giving me a very detailed proposal. It was in line what I thought were reasonable prices and about what I was expecting and being a retired engineer was pleasantly surprised by the complete details and that it was all put in writing. I didn’t even have to request a copy of his liability insurance certificate and business license as it was included with the proposal. Feeling very comfortable with my previous business with Matt last year and the new proposal scope/pricing I agreed to hire them again. Matt was honest and upfront that he was very busy but could get to me in about 3 weeks and would work with my schedule to ensure I was home when they came which was acceptable.
My appointment day came and I met the crew (Jacob and Manny I believe). They were very polite, personable and energetic to do a good job and we reviewed the scope of work and within 10 minutes they were going at it.
After 4-1/2 hours they were finished and everything was clean and the new gutter guards were in place. They use the right equipment and special detergent to safely and efficiently remove mold, moss/algae and surface dirt.
I was again extremely pleased with the whole experience from start to finish. I’d highly recommend them; you will not be disappointed!
Proud to Serve Stony Brook

You’ll find us around the spots that anchor the area:
- Stony Brook Village Center
- The Long Island Museum on NY-25A
- The Grist Mill at the village edge
We work most on the painted-wood and cedar homes near the village center and out along the Old Field Road and Head of the Harbor edge, and on the vinyl streets around the university.
